On 18 July 2019, Mighty Earth released the Rapid Response Report 17. The report alleged PT Agro Sawit Mas Lestari (PT ASML), a subsidiary of Kencana Agri of clearing 34 ha of forest between 27 Feb 2019 and 28 June 2019. According to the report, Kencana Agri Ltd supplied to Apical from other mills but not directly from PT ASML.

Apical demanded a clarification from Kencana Agri Ltd on the grievance case reported.
Kencana Agri Ltd responded that based on their investigation, the alleged land clearing is located outside of PT ASML concession. The overlay map is available here.

The case in now closed by Mighty Earth and has been removed from the Rapid Response 17.
