PT. Citra Sugi Aditya – Prima Antar Surya Group

SUBJECT

In October 2025, Apical received allegations of non-compliance based on its deforestation monitoring that a total of 1,027 ha of forest area within PT Citra Sugi Aditya (CSA), a Prima Antar Surya (PAS) owned subsidiary, has been cleared. In addition, Apical also discovered publications of social issues involving local communities’ related to CSA.

Apical’s sourcing linkages are through PT Citra Indah Pertiwi (CIP), another subsidiary of the PAS Group.

PROGRESS

November 2025

Apical requested for clarification to PT CIP (CIP) regarding the allegations.

December 2025

PT CIP responded that they are related to PT CSA through the same holding company, PAS Group. CIP added that CSA has legality which includes a Release of Forest Area in 2014 and Cultivation Rights (2021-2022).

January 2026

Apical communicated to CIP that the NDPE commitments goes beyond legality and also takes into account biodiversity, land cover, socio-cultural aspects and conservation areas before decisions on palm oil plantation development.

As no satisfactory respond was received from the CIP management and due to the large scale of deforestation, Apical has decided to disengage from the Prima Antar Surya group.

With the decision in place, we consider this case closed.  We will continue to engage with Prima Antar Surya group following the grievance procedure requirements when they are ready.
