On 3 May 2021, Mighty Earth released the Rapid Response Report 33. The report claimed that PT Bumi Agro Prima, a subsidiary of Bumi Gading Prima Group of clearing 25ha of forest between October 2020 to March 2021.

Apical seek clarification from Bumi Gading Prima regarding the issue. For info, Apical do not source directly from PT Bumi Agro Prima. In a response, BGP committed to stop land clearing.
Apical to further discuss with BGP on next action on this matter.

Apical has engaged with Bumi Agro Prima and they have committed to the following steps:
- To maintain a Stop Work Order (SWO) and commitment not to further develop palm oil in their concession until the necessary assessments have been carried out. This has been effective since May 2021.
- To resubmit their HCV & HCS assessment for HCVN peer review until a satisfactory outcome is obtained.
Bumi Agro Prima have provided a commitment letter and a time bound plan to reflect the above commitments.
Apical considers this case closed.
