Surakarta, 2 June 2023 – Apical Group, one of the leading vegetable oil processors and producers of healthy and sustainable cooking oil, together with the Surakarta Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) held an activity entitled “Fried Feast” at Surakarta City Hall, today.

The activity attended by dozens of MSME players in Surakarta, distribution of free fried food, musical performances from a number of local bands, live cooking, education on healthy cooking oil, as well as distribution and sale of Minyakita cooking oil produced by Apical is opened directly by Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, accompanied by the Head of Hipmi Surakarta, Respati Ardi, and Head of Industry & Government Relations of Apical, Manumpak Manurung.

At the opening of the activity which began with releasing the balloons, Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa said, “Collaborative activities like this must be conducted frequently because it can empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in order to strengthen the domestic economy which is the key to curbing the inflation rate, especially in Surakarta City”.

It is known that the inflation rate in Surakarta City after Eid in May and June is expected to remain under control, however, activities such as market operations and bazaars must be strengthened to control the inflation rate.

Manumpak said that the activity organized by Apical in collaboration with Hipmi is one of the efforts to support local MSMEs while at the same time providing quality cooking oil at affordable prices for the community.

“One of the things that can control the rate of inflation is market operations, but what we are holding today is more than just market operations, but collaborative activities to support MSMEs and the distribution of around 23,850 liters of Minyakita to the public at prices according to the highest retail price (HET). Hopefully through this activity, we can maintain the supply of food commodities, especially cooking oil, especially ahead of Eid al-Adha,” he added.

The Chairperson of Hipmi Surakarta, Respati Ardi, said that Hipmi is committed to supporting MSMEs which are the biggest foundation strength in Indonesia, especially the City of Surakarta.

“In this activity, we invited 10 MSMEs that have a fried business to be invited to do live cooking at City Hall and around 50 MSMEs assisted by Hipmi and the Surakarta Association to participate in the healthy cooking oil education presented by Apical. Hipmi hopes that through collaboration in the fields of culinary, business, arts and culture, this can further advance the economy in the city of Surakarta,” added Ardi.

Apical presents in this activity by opening the Minyakita booth to introduce the new packaged of Minyakita produced by Apical, as well as educate visitors on the Highest Retail Price (HET) of IDR 14,000.

The purpose of this new packaging is for the public to immediately recognize the Minyakita products produced by Apical.
